BODY ARMOR FOR FIRST RESPONDERS

WHY DO NON-LAW ENFORCEMENT FIRST RESPONDERS NEED BALLISTIC PROTECTION?

According to the International Public Safety Association (IPSA) 2017 Line Of Duty Death (LODD) Report, the number of non-law enforcement first responders who are assaulted with guns or by stabbing is increasing.
The IPSA recommends that body armor be provided to non-law enforcement first responders to help reduce gun related LODD.

NFPA 3000 RECOMMENDS LEVEL IIIA BODY ARMOR OR HIGHER

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) stated “the need for an integrated preparedness, response and recovery program is greater than ever before” when announcing their newest standard (NFPA 3000) for Active Shooter/Hostile Event Response (ASHER). The program advocates for all first responders to have access to body armor in Level IIIA or higher (that includes Level IIIA Handgun, Level III and Level IV Rifle Protection).
